Confirm that Ollama is running on your device and that ClipsX is configured with a loopback endpoint such as http://localhost:11434. Refresh the connection after the service responds.
Install a model that Ollama reports as supporting the capability you need: embeddings for Meaning Search or generation for Recall. Then refresh the model list.
Exact text search remains available while the derived semantic index builds. Clearing or rebuilding this index does not delete canonical clips.
Review its failure information and permissions before enabling it again. Quarantine does not mutate the original clip.
Confirm that you are signed in, online, and using an enrolled device. Only supported configuration records roam; clipboard content and other local data never appear through settings sync.
If the issue persists, report it in the ClipsX issue tracker with the platform, app version, and non-sensitive diagnostic details.
